About me
Hi — I’m Christian, the creator of The Solo Survival Guide.
Not long ago, I made one of the most significant changes of my life: I moved out of my parents’ home and started living on my own. No safety net. No built-in help. Just real responsibilities, real bills, and the reality of figuring things out as I went.
Like a lot of people, I quickly realized that living alone isn’t just about freedom — it’s about survival.
Rent, groceries, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, managing loneliness, staying motivated… suddenly it was all on me.
I created The Solo Survival Guide because I wanted a place that focused on the real side of independent living — not the Instagram-perfect version. This blog is about learning how to survive on your own when you’re starting from scratch, feeling overwhelmed, or just trying to stay afloat.
Here, I share practical advice, simple systems, and honest lessons about:
Managing money when you’re on a tight budget
Handling everyday life skills no one really teaches you
Staying mentally steady when you live alone
Building independence one step at a time
I’m not a guru, and I’m not pretending to have it all figured out. I’m learning in real time — and documenting what actually works.
